UCSB APhi Babies - 3 in one week!

16 years ago I met Hilary during rush week at UCSB - and we landed in Alpha Phi together.
We've held each others hair back, celebrated our 21st, hosted bachelorettes & weddings, bridal showers and new bumps, celebrated the birth of our first borns (Avery), their first birthday's (they are only 2 weeks apart), snapped pictures of them in their first bath together, and today Hilary had her second baby, Ryan.

Ryan Cline Landson was born at 9:25 am weighing 9 lbs, 8 oz!Welcome to the world Little One! We can't wait to get to know you.

Also in baby news this week, one of Dan's best friends Craig and his wife Melissa had their first babies - a healthy set of twins, Brayden and Cassidy. Craig and Melissa first met at a Red Light/Green Light Party and hit it off. When I first met Craigs new girlfriend, Melissa and I said, "hey, we know each other!" 

Melissa went UCSB with me and was also an Alpha Phi - see we make great Baby Mamas! Help me wish a huge CONGRATS to Craig and Melissa and the new Doubleblatt twins! We are looking forward to the Romper Room party in June to meet the twins.

In Vegas

I'm in Vegas for VMware's Partner Exchange (PEX), and I have been away from my kids for 4 days now. I miss them so much. Dan has been doing a wonderful job being Mr. Mom for the past week and I am so proud of him. I call them every morning and Nicky says "Hi Mommy" to the phone. My heart swells with pride and I ache a teeny bit too.

On my breaks I keep watching this video of Nicky. In 2 days the boys will be 7 months and 21 months, so I went back to see what Nicky was doing at 7 months. It was Christmas, he was crawling, had 4 teeth, and met Avery and Parker for a playdate at mom's house. I was 3 months pregnant with Brandon! I though this was a fun picture of former USCB Gauchos and their future Gauchettes. Enjoy!

Nicholas and Avery: Best Friends!

2 years ago I called one of my best friends Hilary to tell her I was pregnant. The call went something like this
Vicci: Hilary, Guess what?
Hilary: what?
Vicci: I am pregnant!
Hilary: Um, can I call you back?
Vicci: Sure...

so Hilary hung up and I tried to decided if i still liked her or not (jk!). Not 5 minutes later, she called me back with the news, "We're pregnant too!" So it turns out we were 1 week apart. May 10, 2008 Nicholas was born and 18 days later, Avery Elizabeth was welcomed. We try to see each other as much as we can and getting pictures of the 2 little ones together has been a highlight. Here are some of my favorites of their last 17
months!
They met for the first time in Aug 08. Here they are at 3 months at Nicholas' Baptism

Then they met again at Christmas for a baby play date! Both were sitting up by then!

 Hilary and Eric came to visit this weekend and they met again at 17 months! We had a great weekend in Austin. Both of them have grown up so much and enjoyed playing with each other. I hope they stay great friends for a long time!
