It's no secret that I adore Christmas. One of my guilty pleasures in life is taking pictures and creating the perfect Christmas card.  This year we made a last minute decision and took some recent pictures of the boys for our card. I will post 2010 card closer to Christmas, after I send them out. Here is a look back at 2 years of Christmas cards....

Texts from Tiff - Double - Dip

[At a wake (!): George takes a chip from the bowl, dips it, takes a bite, and then dips again. Timmy (the brother of George's girlfriend) hurriedly comes over.]

TIMMY: What are you doing?
GEORGE: What?
TIMMY: Did … did you just double-dip that chip?
GEORGE: Excuse me?
TIMMY: You double-dipped the chip!
GEORGE: "Double-dipped"? What are you talking about?
TIMMY: You dipped the chip. You took a bite. And you dipped again.
GEORGE: So…?
TIMMY: That's like putting your whole mouth right in the dip! From now on, when you take a chip – just take one dip and end it!
GEORGE: Well, I'm sorry, Timmy … but I don't dip that way. [George takes a chip]
TIMMY: Oh, you don't, huh?
GEORGE: No. [dips the chip] You dip the way you want to dip … [takes a bite of the chip] I'll dip the way I want to dip. [double-dips the chip]
TIMMY: Give me the chip! [Grabs George and the chip goes flying.] Give me the chip! [George and Timmy start to struggle.]

Luke has a new favorite snack - hummus.

and not in any connection to the double dipping, he also makes many new faces.

The Annual Christmas Affair

I take off the Friday before Thanksgiving ever year

- for the last 3 years -

We head down to the Palmer Events center and wait in line with thousands of other ladies for the 

10:00 am opening of the 

Austin Junior League's Christmas Affair

Tricia introduced me

Tricia got me hooked

We meet at the bar after the doors open

and with D O U B L E mimosas in hand 

we shop

we gossip

we laugh

we drink some more

we buy things we dont need and things we obviously HAVE to have

like every color of Kendra Scott Earrings

and ornaments for the tree

and we have the best time

and it is a tradition that I never want to end

Christmas Cards 2012 are coming....

Its the most wonderful time of the year!! I've already received 6 xmas cards and it is Dec 2nd.

Well done guys, well done.

I love planning, picking, and deliberating over my Christmas cards! I ordered them last week and I am trying to be patient, BUT I want my Christmas Cards!!! 

Yay, they shipped, but I have to send them first to an Etsy vendor for something extra special this year. To be mailed soon...and here is a little sneak peek....
