It's no secret that I adore Christmas. I will post 2010 card closer to Christmas, after I send them out. Here is a look back at 2 years of Christmas cards....

O N E month to O N E

Thursday, April 19, 2012

In a month, my last baby will be ONE.
Its been almost 3 years since I started blogging our adventures, and this is the last ONE year birthday..
It's a little bittersweet.
because...
I want another one.
Yep.
Four.
It's like I am not done in my heart, mind, and soul
BUT physically I am.
{btw - Dan was done 2 babies ago. Ha!}
it actually cant happen since I surgically altered those tubbey tubes plus I'm not getting fat again.
but I KNOW this kid chapter is not over.
Maybe one day there will be a little baby girl from Russia with Love...
{speaking of baby girls - I have a BIG announcement to make}
Anyways, back to Luke.
MY. Baby. Is. ALMOST. ONE.
*sigh*
Look what my most awesome friend put together for me.
Those L U K E letters where from his baby shower.
she also made those.
Next week we will make a trip down to the lake or some new location and capture Luke's cake smash
until then, in the next 30 day I am going to figure out how to keep him little

What a treat!

Monday, May 24, 2010
Tara from Life is Sweet put together a post on her blog about yesterday's activities and I am excited to share all the pictures!!

What a treat!

Austin Family photographer, cake smash, 1st birthday boy
Wowza, baby B sure liked the yummy cake his mommy bought! I must say though, the cake wasn’t the real treat in these pictures….he is! I’ve never met such a sweet, smiley, happy little guy! He made my job SO easy with tons of smiles, eye contact and the true test of a successful cake smash photo shoot would of course be the cake smashing….and boy did he ever enjoy it! Thanks for letting me document this time for your family.

10 months!

Saturday, March 24, 2012
My sweet boy -  Happy 10 months birthday. I am NOT thinking about the next 2 months. I will not think about it at all. I refuse. I am imagining you this way forever. I never want you to grow up, so I am officially freezing time right now.
done.
I'm also done with month belly stickers. bah!

*sigh*

here we go...

At 10 months you are starting to babble all the time - you've said Bye Bye, Mama, and Balloon. I think you said Bubble Guppies too. Today we heard Papa.  You can say two, but i don't think you know you are saying two.

Speaking of Bubble Guppies - you LOVE it!! you dance and point and bop whenever it comes on. It's quite entertaining watching you watch it. You speak to them just like you know what they are saying.

So my ridiculously early walker  - you hardly crawl now. You can pick yourself up with out support and walk all over the place. walk everywhere. we have to watch you.
Life just got harder x100.

We've moved you from the infant car seat and you are chilling in a new seat staring at your brothers on the car rides.

You have really stopped drinking from the bottle, maybe only 3 bottles a day now, but we continue to give it to you so you can get the healthy vitamins and nutrients you need. BUT YOU LOVE FOOD. You grunt and groan and reach and yell to have whatever is on everyone plate. You happily feed yourself just about anything we put in front of you these days. You also have started drinking water with meals and throughout the day. You LOVE milk and will steal it from Brandon when he is not looking.

You watch those 2 boys like they are your superstars. You adore them and they bring joy to you everyday. Watching Nicky play peek-a-boo with you is something that tops my list as my favorite things of all time.

As for your stats - you are a big boy - 25 lbs, size 18 - 24 months - those things are something else and your belly takes after moms. nice and chubby. You have 8 teeth! my goodness.
Your feet are big -  size 4 or 4.5 shoe and cute as could be. and you know what they say about big feet? or is it hands. well regardless - your eyes are incredible and your lashes are so long. Just like your brothers.
I love you and adore you and think the world of you. I will never get tired of being your proud mommy. xoxox

Here are the other 2 at 10 months....

Happy 10 Months Brandon!

Monday, May 10, 2010
Happy 10 Month Birthday, my beautiful Brandon! 2 more months and you will be ONE and I am just not READY for it. I can barely keep from blubbering when I think about Nicky turning 2. You are growing up way too fast and I need to hold on to babiness for as long as I can. There is no wellness check for 10 months, but I don't need a dr. to tell me that you are perfect. You continue to blossom and change before our eyes. You prefer blondes, you chew-up all your food before you spit every bit out. You love to laugh and giggle. You love to stick your tongue out and blow bubbles. You still adore your brother and he is more tolerable of you. We retired your helmet and we love your new round and not flat head. :) Today, on your 10th month birthday, you took 2 steps all on your own. - we are so proud of you. xO

{P.S. No pressure...but look what your brother was doing at 10 months...}

Life is Sweeter

Thursday, June 2, 2011
Dear Tara,

Thank you for being such a special friend. I can't find the words to give you justice, so I will let your work do the talking. Thank you my dear dear friend for capturing a truly special day for me. Life is sweeter with Luke. And my life is truly sweeter with you in it. I love you.

Searching for Bluebonnets....a sneak peak

Friday, April 29, 2011
Bluebonnets are elusive this year.
Almost as elusive as a picture of my belly.
While searching for a location for annual bluebonnet pictures with the boys
Tara did find something special....

{more to come!}

16 Months of Awesomeness

If Nicky is now 30 months, than Brandon is 16 months. The same age Nicky was when I started writing my blog. I am so glad I have been documenting each month and special milestones - its all worth it. Especially with another coming - I can't wait to recreate some of my favorite pictures again. In January when I make this year's blog into a book, there will be over 300 entries - it's going to be a big book. Last year's was only 58 entries! Sure I only had 4 months worth of writing, but I love going back and reading it. I have to find a new publisher this time, more professional....

Back to B. So last month we expressed some concern about his language development. He's really making progress. He has added many new words, and he can Mama, Dada, eat, wawa, bye bye, hi, and more voluntarily. He can repeat many more words, but still doesn't associate them with anything yet. It's very hard not to compare the 2 boys.  By now, Nicky had so many words, and was even talking in short 2 word sentences. He knew his colors, all the sounds of the animals, and was starting to count, and say ABC's. All the development books and websites say he is right on track and perfect, so I'm sticking with "right on the curve" for now.

Enough of the sappy stuff - here is why Brandon is so awesome. He is seriously such a happy baby. He smiles all the time - and it lights up a room.He is so content to play by himself, which is so refreshing for us. He doesn't need to be held all the time and isn't so clingy or needy. He loves to copy his big brother and tease him. Its quite entertaining to watch them interact.  We can tell B is very gregarious and easy going.  At school he flirts with all the girls, and blows kisses. He is so snuggly and warm. We haven't had to deal with tantrums and whining, he is so calm. He will fuss at times and get mad. And he does have a temper, and its so hard not to smile when hes throwing a fit, but its quick to fade.

He can stack blocks and is pretty agile, although can be a little clumsy at times too. He loves to ride on tricycles and motorized cars. He is really a little daredevil. He is starting to notice what we do and say around Nicky so we have to be more careful. Brandon needs his own special time too. He is starting to enjoy books and flashcards, and loves trains, cars, and Elmo. He loves Yo Gabba Gabba and will dance when it comes on, saying "Gabba Gabba". He likes to clap to the music and in the car the boys "raise the roof and push it out" when we dance to the music. I will have to get it all on  video one of these days. It might possibly be one of the cutest things they do together. Other than fight over who gets to hold my hand in the car. :)

Some logistics about my littlest man...he has the lightest blonde hair and hasn't had a haircut yet. Maybe next month. His eyes are still a grey blue and his is simply perfect. He is still in 12 - 18m, but starting to wear 18 - 24. Shoes size 5 and he LOVES CROCs too. He sleeps through the night 6 out of 7 nights and is so easy to put down. He still loves his favorite blankey and loves to kiss Roxy and Zeus.

Banjo, you are 16 months full of awesomeness. We think the world of you....always and forever.
