the draught killed our grass, and the weeds took over
I hated even spending time in the backyard and it reminded me of a sad little place
so we decided to make a space where we can bring our "playtime" and freetime into the backyard
while we arent doing a pool yet, our design gives us that option in a couple of years
We are putting in a new flagstone patio and a wide decomposed granite pathway to take you to the back of the house
Most of the landscape will be low maintenance or Xeriscape
We removed about 80% of our grass foot print
And you know, because Dan is a horticulturist, botanist, and natural Gardner - We {Dan, the boys, and I} will spend the next couple of months doing all the planting and gardening projects together.
And you all know how much I adore manual labor.
